Paint away your blues...

🖤J U S T DO IT! I’ve been thinking about painting a couple of interior doors a soft blue. I‘ve been pinning blue doors for the past 2 weeks. Truth is they were all pretty similar and any of them likely would’ve been fine. I finally just picked a favorite (via @lifeonvirginiastreet blog) and went for it. Having only seen a few photos on a screen, I went to the paint store to see the chip, but pretty certain I was just going to buy a can of “waters edge.” Upon seeing the chip, I wavered because it looked a little darker than the photo. (But also the lighting in the store is pretty bad). So I chickened out and only got a sample size. Got it home and absolutely loved it! But my next day to venture out is tomorrow, so I used the sample to paint the whole door. It’s not the finish I want (and I’m likely doing this wrong) but I can see that I’m really going to love having this pop of color on the doors. I only wish I had trusted my initial instinct and bought the full can in the Advance finish... But that’s ok, I’ll get the can tomorrow and finish this up this week! Paint is so transformative to a space. And it can be relative inexpensive. Have you been itching to try on a new color?! What’s holding you back?
