🖤G R A T I T U D E... “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:4-6(NIV) 🖤 heyyyy friends!! How are you holding up? Long time no post. In fact, the last time I did post, Donevin and I were headed to an undisclosed spring break trip. Well I’m ready to say we were headed to Martha’s Vineyard to close on our new house. If you’ve followed me a while or know me in real life, this MV home has been a dream for such a long time. (But how many of you know that God’s timing is always the best timing?!) I’m sharing this praise report in the hopes that it blesses someone. When I gave up Charlotte, for Memphis, an MV summer home became a possibility. (How many know to get something, you may have to give up something??) As I settled into downtown living, the charm of MV became that much stronger. How wonderful would it be to have a quiet retreat to which we could escape? Scrolling Zillow became a pastime—more than ig—but there was nothing great in our price range. Until I noticed this home some time late fall. It checked every box on my list, but surely it would sell fast. For Christmas, I got the green light to go full steam on the search, wrapped in a fun box. I just knew this was the one and it was still available! Visited the island in January, confirmed this was it— now here’s the kicker: 1) price was just what we wanted. 2) Home came partially furnished (I sold my last house with many of my favorite things). 3) Closing was set for mid-March (during Donevin’s spring break). We had no idea the world would turn upside down(🦠😷), hubby’s job and the kids’ school would all suspend and we would need a place to rest and wait and recharge. But God did. He absolutely provided the perfect place for me and my family. And I just want to shout to the rooftops how grateful I am.
